Art Speaks Japanese

During Semester Two, Grade Three entered an annual art and language contest called Art Speaks Japanese Comes Alive for students of school-levels studying Japanese. We created a class display of artworks inspired by the Art Speaks Japanese collection of the Art Gallery of NSW.

Jonathan Wilson, Community Programs Producer (ART GALLERY OF NEW SOUTH WALES) quotes:

“The 2016 entries were fun, unique and fantastic. The range of Japanese script throughout all of the works was exceptional. Also of note was the Year 3 entry from Capella State School in Queensland. For this installation and display, it was great to see such positive and fun energy being expressed by the young students.”

The 2016 winners were announced on 15th November, Grade 3 received a certificate of Special Mention in the Primary Years Division (Yrs. 3-6) of the National 2016 Art Contest. We are very proud of our achievements and wished to share our success with the community.
